Ocean Signal: Appoints Ocean Safety As Exclusive UK Distributor
Ocean Signal has further strengthened its presence in the UK with the appointment of marine safety equipment specialist Ocean Safety as its exclusive distributor in the country.
The new partnership was announced during this year’s London Boat Show at ExCeL London where Ocean Safety is presenting Ocean Signal’s innovative range of products for the first time.
Alan Wrigley, Managing Director of Ocean Signal, said: “We are delighted to introduce our new partnership with Ocean Safety at this year’s London Boat Show and anticipate a positive and successful 2016 with the additional momentum provided by this collaboration.
“As representatives of some of the world’s leading manufacturers, Ocean Safety is an established specialist in marine safety products with renowned expertise covering a variety of equipment. We are therefore really looking forward to working with Ocean Safety to strengthen our presence in the UK in both the leisure and commercial sectors, and build on the solid platform we have established over recent years.”
Ocean Safety will now supply Ocean Signal’s compact rescueME range of products, which includes the recently-launched award-winning rescueME MOB1, the rescueME EDF1 electronic distress flare, the popular rescueME PLB1 and the rescueME EPIRB1, and its SafeSea range of GMDSS products, including the V100 hand-held radio, S100 SART and E100 EPIRB. Ocean Signal’s latest products, the new M100 and M100X Maritime Survivor Locating Device (MSLD) and AIS Alarm Box, are also now available through Ocean Safety.
The new distribution set-up is due to a realignment of the sales channels within 3Si Group, which owns Ocean Safety.
“We are very excited about becoming the distributor for Ocean Signal,” says Charlie Mill, Sales Director of 3Si. “The company is responsible for manufacturing some of the most innovative electronic survival equipment available.
“The new structure of 3Si’s companies means that the two safety suppliers are now working closely together, and it was concluded that market penetration would be optimised by using the Ocean Safety distribution network.”
Ocean Signal products are widely available from chandlery outlets throughout the UK, which will now be ordering from Ocean Safety.
