Ocean Signal Showcases Latest Products at Servicing and Safety Open Weekend

Ocean Safety Servicing and Safety Open Workshop, 15th/16th February 2020, Southampton

Ocean Signal, communication and safety at sea specialist, will showcase its full portfolio of products on Saturday, 15th February during an open weekend at the Southampton headquarters of UK distributor Ocean Safety.

Boat owners looking to enhance or check their on-board safety kit for the coming season can visit the pop-up stand at the special Ocean Safety Servicing and Safety Open Workshop.

Ocean Signal will introduce its latest products and display its range of innovative beacons, AIS equipment and flares. Visitors to the stand will be able to receive advice and attend a demonstration of the ATB1 Class B+ AIS, a SOTDMA transponder that enhances the user’s ability to be seen by other vessels in busy waters and avoid collision day or night whatever the conditions.

Ocean Signal’s European Sales Manager Colin Greetham, who will be at the event with Technical Business Development Manager Kris Nieuwenhuis, said: “We are happy to provide advice for anyone looking to purchase electronic safety equipment for their boat. We would also like to encourage people to bring in their Ocean Signal EPIRBs, PLBs and other products for inspection and testing on the day.”

Ocean Safety, specialists in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine safety equipment, will have a team of marine safety experts on hand on Saturday and Sunday, 15th and 16th February, between 10am and 4pm to discuss a whole range of safety products. Visiting boat owners and crews can make an appointment to bring their liferafts and lifejackets and watch them being opened and inflated and then leave them to be fully serviced and certificated. There will also be a live flare demonstration. Visitors are also welcome to simply attend to watch the general demonstrations and talk to the experts.
