The exciting companies who are developing transformative new technological eco systems will take center stage at Oceanology International in March at London’s ExCeL

The organizers of Oceanology International 2024 (Oi24) have announced the first details about the exhibiting companies and format of the popular Future Tech Hub, which returns at this year’s event at London’s ExCeL from 12th to 14th March.

Delivering a unique, global stage for the ocean technology industry’s leading start-ups and tech-accelerators, the Future Tech area aims to ‘bring the future forward’ by showcasing an array of new transformative technological eco-systems, products and solutions.

Thousands of international industry buyers, influencers and professionals will have the opportunity to visit the Future Tech Hub across all three days of the Oi marine science, ocean technology exhibition and conference to discover the latest technology developments and meet the trailblazing companies who are positioned to empower missions into the next decade and beyond.

Around 30 companies are expected to converge within the Future Tech Hub to promote their news and innovations.

David Ince, Oceanology International Portfolio Director, said: “We are pleased to confirm the return of the Future Tech Hub, which proved to be a very popular addition to the show floor when it was introduced in 2022. Recognizing some of the world’s leading start-ups and tech-accelerators who are bringing the future forward, it creates a must-see location with a real buzz. Visitors and attendees can gather here to discover and discuss the latest developments which can help them prepare to meet the demands of the market in the years ahead.”

uWare Robotics, a deep tech startup specializing in data-driven engineering solutions for coastal environments, is a first-time exhibitor at Oceanology International and is amongst the visionary businesses participating in Oi24’s Future Tech Hub.

Rob Smets, Head of Business Development at uWare Robotics, said: “There is no better place to be if you work around underwater robotics. So when were contacted by Oi to be part of future technology, we didn’t have to think about it. It fits our roadmap perfectly. 2024 will really be about production and increasing our sales network. Oi is just the perfect place to be for us.”

Other participating companies include: Abyssens, an underwater acoustics specialist with a line of DORI low power acoustic recorders; ANB Sensors, a scientific technology company which has developed calibration-free pH sensors for ocean monitoring; Hangzhou AOHAI Marine Engineering, an innovative ocean technology enterprise providing advanced and reliable ocean technicians; Havian, providing software to vessel operators and project owners to help collaboration and management on offshore projects.
