The long-term anti-foul solution, Coppercoat is the top anti-foul choice for Cornish Crabber customers, applied on 99% of new yachts. Due to this increase in sales Coppercoat is now on the official factory options list for all Cornish Crabber and Mystery Yachts. This was obvious at London Boat Show 2017 with 100% of all Cornish Crabber yachts displaying Coppercoat.
Cornish Crabber is the leading builder of classic styled sailing yachts and motor launches. Currently offering six production series, Cornish Crabbers are designed to fulfil consumers specifications providing quality and British built craft. Celebrating its 38th year in business Cornish Crabber is proud to offer Coppercoat, with over 50 yachts in 2016 having Coppercoat applied as an anti-foul option.
Peter Thomas, Managing Director of Cornish Crabbers is enthusiastic about the popularity of Coppercoat, the only anti-foul customers actively request. He explains “If a customer wants anti-foul then they always choose Coppercoat. The only boats that leave the factory without Coppercoat leave without any anti-foul. Years ago I knew when we had sold a boat; I could smell the anti-foul paint going on. However, now with the water-based Coppercoat, I can no longer smell the fumes.”
He added: “The team in the workshop like the fact that there are no fumes when applying Coppercoat, it can also be applied months before launch, making pre-delivery inspection time easier and less stressful. Coppercoat is a premium product, as an official option for our customers; it rightly commands a premium price over our standard anti-foul offering. The net result of this is a huge increase in our average net profit per boat. Any boat manufacturer that offers anti-foul on their options list should offer Coppercoat.”
