ACR Electronics (Seawork International - Stand PY67): ACR Electronics Highlights Safety Product Portfolio at Seawork

Seawork International 2017, Mayflower Park, 13th to 15th June, Stand PY67

Global leader in safety and survival technologies ACR Electronics is highlighting its leading range of safety products for commercial operators and crew at this year’s Seawork.

A new addition to ACR’s commercial portfolio, the award-winning ACR GlobalFIX™ V4 Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) incorporates the latest marine lifesaving technology.

Available in both Category 1 Auto-Deploy (GMDSS) and Category 2 Manual brackets, the GlobalFIX V4 comes equipped with a user replaceable battery and uses its high efficiency electronics to directly send a 406 MHz distress alert to Search and Rescue around the world.

Manual activation of the EPIRB is simple and there is a protective keypad cover to help prevent false alarms. It has two functional self-tests to monitor the beacon’s transmission, power and battery performance and GPS acquisition.

The full-featured ACR device has an energy efficient, four LED array strobe light and a new wrist strap for hands-free carrying in an emergency evacuation.

Also on show at Seawork, the new ACR Pathfinder PRO Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) is a competitively priced device which exceeds IMO/SOLAS/GMDSS regulations and provides over 96 hours of operating life. The batteries have a five-year storage life before any significant reduction in capacity.

Compact for easy life raft packing, the Pathfinder PRO SART is supplied with a mountable storage bracket and a black telescopic pole, which conveniently connects to the bottom of the SART allowing maximum height and visibility out of a life craft.

The SART is waterproof to a depth of 10 metres and operates between -20°C and +55°C.

Greatly enhancing search and rescue efforts, the manually-activated ACR device can be used on ships, lifeboats and life rafts.
