Kongsberg Maritime are to supply propulsion systems for the world’s first fully-electric, emission-free ship-handling tug, to be built by Damen for Ports of Auckland Ltd. Two US255 L PM FP azimuth thrusters will provide unrivalled manoeuvrability, proven reliability and a bollard pull of 70 tonnes, matching performance with minimal running costs and impeccable environmental credentials
